Vocals, guitar, bass—a lineup as minimalist as it gets, and that’s precisely what makes it so appealing. Emmanuel Michael lives in New York, where he is one of the most sought-after female guitarists of his generation, having performed with artists such as Ambrose Akinmusire and Marcus Gilmore. In Cologne, he joins forces with two musicians who have been shaping the local scene for years: Rebekka Salomea, whose voice moves effortlessly between jazz, R&B, hip-hop, and free improvisation, and Reza Askari, one of the most distinctive bassists in the modern creative scene.
