You are not obliged to provide the data. Failure to provide it will have no consequences. This applies only to the extent that no other indication is made in the subsequent processing operations. “Personal data” means any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person.

Server log files
You can visit our websites without providing any personal information. Every time you access our website, usage data is transmitted by your Internet browser and stored in log data (server log files). This stored data includes, for example, the name of the page accessed, the date and time of access, the volume of data transferred and the requesting provider. This data is used exclusively to ensure the trouble-free operation of our website and to improve our services. It is not possible to assign this data to a specific person. This data is not merged with other data sources. We reserve the right to check this data retrospectively if we have concrete indications of illegal use. All log files (server logs, domain logs and maillogs) are stored for 14 days.

Use of e-mail address for sending newsletters
We use your e-mail address independently of the contract processing exclusively for our own advertising purposes for sending newsletters, provided that you have expressly consented to this. The processing is based on Art. 6 (1) lit. a DSGVO with your consent. You can revoke your consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of the processing carried out on the basis of the consent until the revocation. To do so, you can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time by using the corresponding link in the newsletter or by notifying us. Your e-mail address will then be removed from the distribution list.

We send our newsletters via the MailChimp shipping service provider of the US provider Rocket Science Group, LLC, 675 Ponce De Leon Ave NE #5000, Atlanta, GA 30308, USA. Our website uses cookies. Cookies are small text files that are stored in the Internet browser or by the Internet browser on the computer system of a user. When a user accesses a website, a cookie may be stored on the user’s operating system. This cookie contains a characteristic string of characters that enables the browser to be uniquely identified when the website is called up again. We use cookies for the purpose of making our offer more user-friendly, effective and secure. Furthermore, cookies enable our systems to recognize your browser even after a page change and to offer you services. Some functions of our website cannot be offered without the use of cookies. For these, it is necessary that the browser is recognized even after a page change. The processing is carried out on the basis of § 15 (3) TMG and Art. 6 (1) lit. f DSGVO from the legitimate interest in the above-mentioned purposes. The data collected from you in this way is pseudonymized by technical precautions. An assignment of the data to your person is therefore no longer possible. Analysis tools and third-party tools
When visiting our website, your surfing behavior may be statistically analyzed. This is done primarily with cookies and with so-called analysis programs, in this case Matomo. The analysis of your surfing behavior is usually anonymous; the surfing behavior cannot be traced back to you. You can object to this analysis or prevent it by not using certain tools. The IP address is stored anonymously in the database of the statistics server stat.culturebase.org in the statistics tool Matomo (formerly Piwik). The data with the anonymized IP addresses are deleted after 180 days. More general statistical information on the use of the website such as browser version or calls to individual subpages, on the other hand, will generally continue to be available on the website at the start of the statistics implementation. In principle, it is not possible to specifically delete individual statistical visitor data, as they can in no case be assigned to a specific person due to anonymization!

Type of data stored by Matomo: Anonymized IP address, browser type, browser engine, browser version, plugins, operating system, device type, screen resolution, location, call history, call origin (e.g. Google), date/time, time spent on homepage and subpages, recurring visit yes/no.

Access to the data
Employees of Kulturserver and individuals approved by them for the statistics of a specific website, mostly the online editorial staff of the project. They are granted password-protected access to the data of the respective project.

Google Fonts
This site uses so-called web fonts provided by Google for the uniform display of fonts. When you call up a page, your browser loads the required web fonts into its browser cache in order to display texts and fonts correctly. For this purpose, the browser you are using must connect to Google’s servers. This enables Google to know that our website has been accessed via your IP address. Google Web Fonts are used in the interest of a uniform and appealing presentation of our online offers. This represents a legitimate interest within the meaning of Art. 6 (1) lit. f DSGVO. If your browser does not support web fonts, a standard font will be used by your computer.

For more information on Google Web Fonts, please visit https://developers.google.com/fonts/faq and see Google’s privacy policy: https://www.google.com/policies/privacy/.

OSM/Leaflet
Some pages on this website contain maps provided by the OpenStreetMap Foundation, 132 Maney Hill Road, Sutton Coldfield, West Midlands, B72 1JU, United Kingdom. OpenStreetMap is an open source mapping tool. The integration of the map on our website is done by means of an iframe or by retrieving the so-called tiles (map images) from the provider’s server. As a result, your IP address is transmitted to the Openstreetmap server. Furthermore, a session cookie is set (for information on cookies, see above in this privacy policy). When integrating the map data, we invoke Art. 6 (1) lit. f DSGVO, i.e. as a website operator, we have a legitimate interest in improving the user-friendliness of our website.

Use of YouTube
We use on our website the function for embedding YouTube videos of YouTube LLC. (901 Cherry Ave., San Bruno, CA 94066, USA; “YouTube”). YouTube is a company affiliated with Google Inc. (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA; “Google”). The function displays videos deposited with YouTube in an iFrame on the website. The option “Extended data protection mode” is activated. As a result, YouTube does not store any information about visitors to the website. Only when you watch a video is information about it transmitted to YouTube and stored there. For more information about the collection and use of data by YouTube and Google, about your rights in this regard and options for protecting your privacy, please refer to the privacy policy of YouTube (https://www.youtube.com/t/privacy).

Use of Facebook
We have integrated functions of the Facebook service (Facebook Inc., 1 Hacker Way, Menlo Park, California 94025, USA) on our site. When you call up a page of our website that contains such a plugin, your browser establishes a direct connection with Facebook’s servers. The content of the plugin is transmitted by Facebook directly to your browser, which then integrates it into the website. By integrating the plugins, Facebook receives the information that your browser has accessed the corresponding page of our website, even if you do not have a Facebook account or are not currently logged in to Facebook. This information (including your IP address) is transmitted by your browser directly to a Facebook server in the USA and stored there. If you are logged in to Facebook, Facebook can directly assign your visit to our website to your Facebook account. If you interact with the plugins, the corresponding information is also transmitted directly to a Facebook server and stored there. The information is also published on Facebook and displayed to your Facebook friends. Facebook may use this information for the purposes of advertising, market research and demand-oriented design of the Facebook pages. For this purpose, Facebook creates usage, interest and relationship profiles, e.g. to evaluate your use of our website with regard to the advertisements displayed to you on Facebook, to inform other Facebook users about your activities on our website and to provide other services associated with the use of Facebook. If you do not want Facebook to assign the data collected via our website to your Facebook account, you must log out of Facebook before visiting our website.
The purpose and scope of the data collection and the further processing and use of the data by Facebook, as well as your rights in this regard and setting options for protecting your privacy, can be found in Facebook’s privacy policy: https://www.facebook.com/about/privacy/.
Facebook is certified under the US-EU data protection agreement “Privacy Shield” and thus undertakes to comply with EU data protection requirements: https://www.privacyshield.gov/participant?id=a2zt0000000GnywAAC&status=Active.
