Singer Kateryna Kravchenko, born in 1999 in Balta, Ukraine, northwest of Odessa, and vibraphonist Arthur Clees, born in 2002 in Esch-sur-Alzette, Luxembourg, met in Dresden, where both studied in the jazz department of the Carl Maria von Weber University of Music. From the very first moment of their initial encounter, they felt a deep sense of trust in one another, which would serve as the foundation for the development of their music as a duo. It is this trust that serves as the catalyst for the most important element of their collaboration, enabling them to create improvisational music that is both innovative and inspiring. Their songs possess a wistful, light melody that conveys deep pain and profound loss just as effectively as exuberant joy and overwhelming happiness. Through their duo performances, Kravchenko and Clees evoke these emotions, transforming them into new forms so that they take on ever-changing aesthetic expressions. As a guest artist, organist Janne Niclas joins their duo to form a harmonious trio.
