KAU & blu/quartet feat. Jakob Bänsch and Cage
To kick off their international fall tour, KAU & blu/quartet will join forces with trumpeter Jakob Bänsch and singer Cage. Analog synthesizers and driving beats meet the organic sounds of a string quartet, trumpet, and vocals.
Founded in Brussels, KAU brings together German keyboardist Jan Janzen, Italian bassist Matteo Genovese, and Norwegian drummer André Breidlid. Their music is open and characterized by live energy and spontaneity. Their EP Unknown Waveforms Restrung, released in March 2026, expands their sound to include the Cologne-based string ensemble blu/quartet. For this concert, KAU & blu/quartet are inviting two special guests from the Cologne music scene to form a nine-piece ensemble for this special evening.
