Cologne\u00a0Jazzweek\u00a0offers a platform where we want to overcome the barriers of language,\u00a0origin\u00a0and class through music. As a festival, we respect diversity of opinion and freedom, both on and off stage.
These are the values that guide our festival team and that we want to share for a respectful coexistence and presuppose for our events:
Respect and tolerance<\/strong>
–\u00a0Respectful treatment – regardless of origin, gender, sexual orientation, religion,\u00a0age\u00a0or physical ability. Discrimination,\u00a0harassment\u00a0or inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated.
– Freedom of expression: both on and off the stage. However, this ends where it is misused for anti-Semitic, Islamophobic, racist or in any way inhumane views.
– Mutual support: We promote a culture of mutual support. Everyone should feel welcome,\u00a0safe\u00a0and valued.
Responsibility and safety
<\/strong>– Act responsibly: Be aware of your surroundings and take responsibility for your behavior. Leave venues clean and respect the privacy and property of others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
<\/strong>– Open communication: We value open dialog and respectful communication. Feedback should be given in a constructive and friendly manner. We clarify misunderstandings through direct, calm and respectful discussions.
– Collaboration: Our team does everything in its power to ensure that artists
a professional and pleasant stay. We ask artists and visitors alike to support us in this endeavor.
Behavior during the events<\/strong>
<\/strong>– Respect for artists: Please refrain from talking during the music and keep photography and filming to a minimum.
